Ask one real yes-or-no question. The first word of the answer is the verdict, and everything after it is true.
That is Verdicts, Costs & Seeds, our new solo oracle — three d20 tables (The Answer / The Twist / The Detail), sixty entries, system-neutral. It doesn't write your story; it rules on the one question you can't guess your own heart about, and it bills you honestly for strong answers. Every bill lands on someone you had just started to like.
And it has a second job: played against anything else on this shelf, it turns the whole catalog single-player. No GM required — including for ours.
We know, because we tried. The worked example in the booklet was rolled on live dice against our Village NPC Deck: three "no" answers produced a hill appointment, a windowsill mystery, and a free stable bunk — one playable evening, zero prep.
The oracle arrived with company. The shelf now holds twelve pages in four shapes:
- NPC decks (new). Bread, Burials & Old Silver — eight villagers who were here first, each carrying a Want you can hire and a Secret your hiring will step on. Ash, Tolls & Second Ink — a city district where everyone is still paid from a fire declared out nineteen years ago. Five pre-built chains braid each deck into one plot, hung on a single removable fuse.
- Two new one-page dungeons. The Sober Badger's Cellar — the map is a contract, every printed price is real, and the badger has never once tasted the stock. The Tallow Saint's Light — a wreckers' lamp that has quoted true prices for 73,000 nights. The arithmetic on both pages reconciles; it is load-bearing, and it was checked.
- Plus the seven you may have already met: six one-page dungeons (levels 1–4, run tonight) and three d20 toolkits — sixty wilderness, city, and underground entries each, all reading aloud as written.
Everything is system-neutral, OSR-compatible, print-ready, $0.99–$1.99. And everything on sale today cleared all three gates first: a cold read-through, a simulated table run (the oracle: a live solo playtest, on the record), and a print check. How they're made, plainly: first drafts are AI-assisted; every word is finished by hand. We say so on every product page.
If you run any of these — solo or not — tell us where it broke. That's the mail that decides what earns a sequel page.
Welcome. We're a small press with a narrow shelf, on purpose.
What we make: one-page dungeons you can run tonight (levels 1–4, 30–60 minutes, system-neutral, OSR-compatible), and d20 table toolkits — three tables of sixty entries each that read aloud as written, for wilderness, city, and underground.
How they're made, plainly: first drafts are AI-assisted. Then a human rewrites, keys, and cuts every line, and each product passes three gates before it goes on sale. The exact disclosure sits on every product page, because you should know what you're buying.
What we don't make: settings bibles, 200-page hardcovers, or anything that needs a weekend of prep.
If you run one of these at your table, tell us how it went — especially where it broke. That's the mail we like best, and it decides what earns a sequel page.
